Week 28

Ok I’m so sorry they are cleaning the Church right now and we’re in the library right now so I only have only 5 minutes left to write an Email. Scratch that four. Well awww! Conference was awesome we finally had some investigators come to church and I beat everone in our zone at wrestling except for Elder Peterson and the Sisters.

Umm…. It’s hard to think of things to write when I know I don’t have any time. Ummm….. We had an awesome miracle last night with a family we were teaching invite another family and now we have a bunch new people to teach it’s really awesome. Ok love you all bye

Week 27

DSC01920Well this week was definitely really awesome. So I just start with the biggest news. I accidentally shot my companion Elder Dexter with a gun in the back. We were at an investigators house and there was a gun on the couch so I picked it up aimed it at my companion and pulled the trigger. To my surprise it actually shot something. Thank goodness it was only an air soft gun bee-bee.

Anyways we found a few awesome investigators and had some 27 lessons this week and plenty of service it was really fun. Well well I don’t know much else that I should share from this week so have a good one.

Week 26

Wow it’s crazy that I’ve just completed 1/4 of my mission already. It’s so sad to see it fly by so quickly but it’s been such an awesome experience. We had 28 lessons as a companionship this week it was pretty darn amazing. I’m so excited to be able to be here in Moses we are actually able to hit most our goals and don’t even have to worry about using miles. We have stake P day ever Monday no problem and we get to eat with the missionerettes daily.

We get free subway every week and I’m going to debut my mission rap tomorrow at DM. It’s going to be flipping awesome.

Week 25

Well yay! I’m in my new area! Guess what everyone here knows how to whip their hands to snap their fingers. It’s my new favorite thing but I did it so much on Saturday that my wrist actually hurt a lot the day afterward. It’s good now.

So it’s so awesome to only have to be over one branch here in Moses. We only have to fill out one progress record, I only need to get to know one group of people, most of our lessons are in Spanish, we don’t have to split up our numbers, and we mostly get fed Spanish food. Which might be a win/lose. I might have definitely gained 35 pounds in my first area. What do I do to lose weight? I’m already working out 30 minutes a day. Elder Dexter said I should stop eating sugar with my oatmeal.
So this morning I woke up and ate some oatmeal. Then did all the things a guys got to do like have Elder Dexter cut his hair. Then Elder Dexter was cooking an omelet and it was huge and I was like oh thanks for making a comp omelet for us! He was like I did make it for you, because I knew you hadn’t eaten and I was like yeah…     It was good I ate it. Yum anyways That might be why I’m fat.
Well so we found a retractable clip at the apartment and so I decided to use it to fulfill the measure of it’s creation. We waited till dinner then when this guy was like hey what’s your name I’m half blind. I was like here and pulled the cord toward him with my name tag on it. He read it let got and it snapped back to my chest. During that the other missionaries were crying from laughter. Sister Ahlstorm was about to die of laughter. I’ve never heard anyone laugh so hard on my entire mission. It was great.
But hey you’re great. Have a phenomenal week.

Week 24

DSC01874Yay! Transfer calls came! I’m so excited, I’m going to go to Moses Lake with Elder Dexter he was my first Zone Leader. My other first Zone Leader is the new AP in the mission. It is going to be a whole bunch of fun there. I hear they even have a Home Depot. Moving up in the world.

Well it was weird how fast this transfer went I’m so glad that I’ve kept my journal because otherwise all those days would have been forgotten. Were I’m serving next is going to be all Spanish work, which I hope means I don’t have to translate during sacrament meeting. Well have a nice week! This first picture is the Branch President and his family and the second are the Birds.DSC01805

Week 23

Evil DogWow this week was interesting. We met a witch and my companion is officially entranced. We barely managed to get below our mile limit last month and I found out that our car can go a max speed of 113 mph. I managed to have massuman curry it was the best meal I’ve had on the whole mission. The members here are the best.

Well not much has happened other than that. We had stake conference and the missionaries got to sing. Then after we sang they asked us to just sit up on the stand the rest of the two hours. I love people watching me take notes. I met the parents of one of my companions at the MTC and I found out that another one of my MTC companions went home. 2/5 of my MTC comps are already home.

Week 22

Pues wow. So we definitely had a dramatic week. It felt like a novala. So we were supposed to have a baptism yesterday but then crap hit the fan and we’re still picking up the pieces. So we’ve been meeting with Lucy everyday this week before the baptism and everything was going good till on Tuesday her ex-boyfriend showed up while we were teaching her. It was weird but we taught them both in another one of our perfected Spanglish lessons. On Wednesday and Thursday he was there as well and we were getting a little worried.

Then on Friday morning we get a call from sister Maughn saying she was thinking that Lucy was still smoking and we’re like whatever but I guess we’ll ask anyways. So we ask and she’s like well kinda and then we’re like darn looks like we have to wait another two weeks. Then she starts crying and leaves. Then we were talking to her friend Janelle then we left and a bunch of junk happened and now Lucy is in Pasco.
But the good news is we got cinnamon rolls yesterday and Sister Christiansen promised to make us massaman. Have a good week!

Week 21

DSC01597Wow well we had a good valentines day. By that I mean we started riding bikes this week and while we were stopping to get mail some girl we’ve never seen before, which is weird because we’re in small little Mattawa, and she gave us a Klondike bar. I’ve never had one  before but it was pretty good. Anyways than latter we went to the Spanish Branch’s valentines party. Or rather we went on a quintuple date. It was awkward DSC01550and Elder Trotter was not accepting anything. Yet not the worst date I’ve ever had.

We are having a baptism this week it’s going to be awesome. Um well enjoy these photos and have a good week.

Week 20

DSC01500 (Small)Pues. Oh I had our second Baptism this week and a few more on schedule for the coming weeks. It’s really exciting seeing so many people try to change their life. We had a super cool experience with one of the ladies we have on date.
She had just moved from Kennewick and is staying with one of the less actives.

She had told the branch president that she wanted to be baptized. So we met with he
r and it turns out she’s be meeting with the missionaries for 6 months. It was super sweet because she just moved in completely ready to be baptized.
Anyways the dairy was fun. We saw a cow give birth

DSC01522 (Small)

and they had like 12000 cows there. So that was exciting. Our car tire exploded yesterday after we got a few inches of snow. It was pretty sweet. Elder Trotters pretty awesome but I think he has terrets or something because he always seems to shake. Anyways he’s a good missionary and always ready to talk with the peeps.

Week 19

DSC01343 (Small)Yay we had transfers it’s super fun. The new Elder is Elder Trotter he’s a stud. It was really funny yesterday because being fast Sunday he was super tired, so I called up our branch mission leader and we had nothing but beans for dinner he was not so happy after that. At least he got untired enough to be mad at Jorge, I still haven’t told him I put him up to it.

We didn’t get much sleep last night there were fireworks and whatever else after the SeaHawks won the Super Bowl. It was so crazy. They were up till 3 in the morning. It’s just DSC01349 (Small)a good thing today is P day or we’d be dead. Anyways we are going to the dairy today and having a sweet little tour! It’s going to be super good I’ll probably get some fresh milk.
 DSC01296 (Small)
