Week 15

We are just so excited here in the middle of Washington. We have someone ready to be baptized this Saturday and it’s going to be a very special experience. It’s definitely really cool to see the change that comes into peoples lives when they place their faith in Christ and live the Gospel standards. We had a lot of opportunities to serve this week with fixing up the house of a less active to preparing the land for a recent converts big move. People really respond well to being served and by that I mean we had some really good meals this last week.

The thing that made the biggest difference in the conversion process of our baptismal candidate is that he started to read and pray about the Book of Mormon. He told us that after he started to do that he had a stronger desire to change and to do it again. He told us he always knew he needed to be baptized but didn’t feel ready until he knew of a surety that the Book of Mormon was the word of God.
We are looking forward for what will come out of the baptism because it’s been the first one in that branch for over 3 years. We are bringing many people to it and hopefully they can feel the sacred enabling power of the Atonement as we are there.
